From canvas to bare skeleton, from concrete to pigments, from the ‘pictorial’ layer to the amalgam of fragments of matter, the artist’s universe oscillates between lightness and heaviness, between opacity and transparency, between aesthetics and questioning our lifestyles.
Through selected themes, Nicolas Gutiérrez fashions a certain view of our society’s failings, questioning the myths that govern our reality.
